The Life of BERTHA MARIE HOUSEMAN

Bertha M. Houseman, 80, of rural Bouton died of a respiratory ailment Friday at home.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Houseman was born in Iola, Kan., and lived in Des Moines until 1982, when she moved to Bouton.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; a daughter, Mary Ann Slaughter of Bouton; two sisters, Pearl Knoll of Perry and Sadie Burrows of Topeka, Kan.; two brothers, Irvin Fair of Savannah, Ga., and Fred Fair of Wilton, Calif.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today, where the family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
