The Life of JOHN J METTILLE
John J Mettille, 64, of the 4400 block of EP True Parkway, West Des Moines, died of cancer Satruday at Hospice Kavanaugh House. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Mettille was born in Algona and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a carpenter for Regency Builders and enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley, two sons, Michael of Urbandale and Craig of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Ina Mettille of Phoenix; two sisters, Liz Gassaway of Phoenix and Carole Easley of Paradise Valley, AZ; three brothers, Chuck of Scottsdale, AZ, and Gary and Rich, both of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
