The Life of ESKET F HARMAN

Services for Esket F. Harman, 60, of 1840 Capitol Ave. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Testament Baptist Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Harman died Wednesday of lung cancer at Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Born in Mount Sidney, VA, he lived in Staunton, VA before moving to Des Moines 26 years ago.  A US Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Harman was a welder at Little Giant Crane and Shovel Co.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, two sons, Ernie and Alpine, TX, and Jerry of Staunton, VA; a daughter, Sharon Trobaugh of Middletown, NJ; three stepsons, Maxwell Sullenberger, Dice Sullenberger, and Tracy Sullenberger, all of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home.
