The Life of LELAND PAUL SUNDBERG

God called home his servant, Lee Sundberg, 62, on July 15, 2003 after a painful battle with cancer.  A private graveside service for family members will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Friends are invited to a service celebrating his life, held at Westchester Evangelical Free Church on Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m.

Visitation with the family will be after the celebration service.

Leland used his life to communicate God''s love to others through music.  He taught vocal music for the Saydel Schools for 24 years while serving part time as choir director for the Evangelical Covenent Church, First Baptist Church and Westchester Evangelical Free Church.  He left teaching to work full time  as the Minister of Music and Christian Education at Westchester Free Church.  During those years, he also taught many home-schoolers, both vocal music and hand bells.  Serving the Lord in those ways gave him great delight.  He will be remembered for his love of God, his family and music.  His unfailing kindness, patience and gentle manner will be greatly missed.

Leland is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter and her husband, Kirsten and Jeff Wynia and grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Wynia of Woodbury, MN; son and his wife, Kent and Gretchen Sundberg of Shakopee, MN; his mother, Evangeline of Minneapolis; brothers, Stan Sundberg of Fairmont, MN and Mark Sundberg of Lake Zurich, IL; and sisters, Lois Jacobson of Coon Rapids, MN and Miriam Johnson of Troy, MI.

Memorials may be given to Westchester Evangelical Free Church.
