The Life of JOBIE SAMUEL WELLS
Services for Jobie S Wells, 81, of 1326 Maine St. who died of a stroke Friday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Wells, born near Council Bluffs, lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired coal miner.
Survivors are his wife, Myrtle; a son, Albert James of Des Moines; eight daughters, Mrs. Georgia Downard, Mrs. Opal Vignovich, Mrs. Norma Smith, Mrs. Iva June Johnson, Mrs. Ina May Miller, Mrs. Virginia Enga, and Iola, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. Florence O''Lear, living in Australia; a brother, Goerge of Pasadena, CA, 37 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
