I remember when I applied for a job at Meredith Corporation in the Purchasing Department in March of 1979. Norm was the hiring manager. As soon as I got back to my job, he called and offered me the job as secretary. That began a very long friendship with Norm who often dropped me off at home if I was having car problems. I became good friends with his wife, as well. That was also the start of my 31 years at Meredith. He made it a pleasure going to work every day.
