The Life of ALICE MARIE HENRY
Alice Henry, 86, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at her home in Dexter, Iowa. She was born January 21, 1924 in Garden Grove, Iowa to Roy and Jennie Kentner.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Mishu as well as gardening and listening to gospel music.
Alice is survived by her loving dog, Mishu; sons, Darrell (Linda) Henry of Des Moines and Jim (Jackie) Fevold of Humboldt; daughters, Alicia (David) Coffman of New Providence, IA, Sandy (Bill) Coulter of Kansas City, MO, Jennie (Louis) Amos of Salem, OR, Patricia Colvin of Des Moines, Pamela Henry of Des Moines, and Freda (Bob) Pearce of Dexter, IA; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Reva Kentner; brother, Clair Kentner; son, Garry Henry; daughter, Beverly Branner; and grandson, Joseph Henry.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2010, at the funeral home.
