The Life of HUBERT L HARDESTY Sr.
Hubert L. Hardesty. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home with burial in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, for Hubert L. Hardesty, 61, of 2523 Fifty-ninth St., who died Monday at Northwest Community Hospital following a two month illness.
A Council Bluffs native, Mr. Hardesty had lived in Des Moines 37 years and was a welder for the Brady Division of Koehring Co. He was a member of the Des Moines Chess Club and United Auto Workers Local 1130.
Mr. Hardesty is survived by his wife, Ruby; three daughters, Mrs. Leta Dice, Mrs. Darlene Hagen, and Mrs. Maxine Ann Wignall, all of Des Moines; a son, Hubert, Jr., of Affton, MO.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Kaldenberg of Des Moines; and 11 grandchildren.
