The Life of CARL L ENG
Carl L. Eng, 80 of 2022 Thirty-sixth St. died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center following a brief illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A retired employee of the Des Moines Ice and Fuel Company, Mr. Eng was born in Ida Grove. He lived in Des Moines 35 years and was a member of the Highland Park World War I Barracks and the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hildred M.; three daughters, Mrs. Vernette Waugh of Fort Collins, CO, Mrs. Verneita Rehor of Altoona, and Mrs. Margene O''Leary of Des Moines; two brothers, Clarence of Ida Grove and Elmer of Arthur; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Belstene of Odebolt; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
