The Life of EDWARD FRANKLIN HARRIS
Edward F. Harris, 76, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Mercy Capitol. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 4 at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Edward was born May 23, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa. He served in the US Navy and worked at John Deere for 37 years, retiring in 1985. Edward was a member of UAW Local 450 and served as Special Deputy Sheriff under Wilbur Hildreth.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Harris; sons, Ronald Lee (Judy) Harris and James Allen (Rosemary) Harris; daughter, Pamela Sue Adamson; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
