The Life of RALPH G GORDON
Ralph G. Gordon, 79, of 4325 N.E. 29th St. died of a gastrointestinal infection February 23 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Park Christian Church of which he was a member. Burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon was born in Cammanche and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was retired from Sears, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge and Auburn Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Jeanne Williamson of Des Moines; two sons, Richard Gordon of Polk City and Ronald Gordon of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
