The Life of BERT E ROBINSON JR
Bert E Robinson, 71, of 2746 Skeies Drive died of lung cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born in Adel and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and a member of Grace Wesleyan Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a former scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie, a son, Robert of Seguin, TX; two brothers, Jack of LeRoy and Larry of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. memorial contributions may be made to Grace Wesleyan Church.
