The Life of MAUDE V COX

Maude V. Cox, 74, of the 2500 block of 27th St. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gospel Assembly Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Cox was born in Brewton, Alabama and moved to Des Moines in 1970 from Tampa, FL. She was an Avon representative and also owned a housekeeping business. Among survivors are her husband, Frank Jr.; four daughters, Della Mercer and Gloria Cox, both of Des Moines; Nancy Lilland of Odessa, FL; and April Peters of Anaheim, CA; three sons, Johnny of Dade City, FL, and Larry and Paul, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Eloise Orem of Bay Minette, Alabama, and Barbara Stokes of Atmore, Alabama; a brother, Wesley Lindsey of Denver, Co; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.>>
