The Life of RUSSELL ALDRIDGE DANCER
Russell A Dancer, 72, of 4417 72nd St. Urbandale, died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gospel Assembly Church, of which he was a member, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Dancer was born in Sugar Town, LA, and moved to Urbandale 11 years ago after living in California and Texas. He retired after 37 years as an independent milk distributor and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Among survivors are his wife, Naomi, three daughters, Carol Frey of Des Moines and Diana Probst and Joy Slaydon, both of Lumberton, TX; two sons, Larry of Whittier, CA, and Adin of Urbandale; two sisters, Ossie Mae Beaver of China, TX, and Mertie Furry of Beaumont, TX; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
