The Life of ARNOLD RAY NICHOLS
Arnold R. Nichols of El Dorado Hills, CA, formerly of Ankeny, IA passed away on November 19, 2004. Burial will be at a later date in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
He was born January 24, 1922 in Farrar, Iowa and attended Farrar School. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a painter for many years until he retired. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed participating in outdoor sports and working in his garden.
Arnold is survived by his daughter, Janet (Thomas) Ullery of Placerville, CA; brother, Wayne (Thelma) Nichols; sister, Norma (Fren) Melson of Des Moines; brother, Danny (Janet) Nichols of Newton; and sister, Florence Giffiths of San Diego, CA; as well as two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma after 54 years of marriage.
