The Life of MIRIAM RUTH CHILDS
Miriam Ruth Childs, 56, of the 6900 block of Southeast 14th St. died of cancer Monday at home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Childs had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a caterer with Swanson Corp.
She is survived by her husband, Monty; two daughter, Vicky Kaufman and Debbie Hill, and three sons, Rick Hill Jr., Danny Hill Sr. and David Hill, all of Des Moines; three brothers, Phil Kaufman of Whittier, CA, David Kaufman of Pueblo, CO, and Ben Kaufman of Foothill Ranch, CA; a sister Joanna Wingfield of Des Moines and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
