The Life of DOROTHY IRENE WAMPLER
Dorothy I. (Peterson) Wampler, 91, Green Bay, formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 3, 2010.
She was born March 23, 1919 to the late Richard and Esther (Johnson) Peterson in Iowa. Dorothy married Robert E. Wampler on June 20, 1942 in Washington D.C. They enjoyed 36 years together before Robert passed away in 1978.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Jr. (Mary) Wampler and Richard (Janell) Wampler; five grandchildren; and threegreat-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; her parents; and brother, Leroy Peterson.
In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, private services will be held. Burial will be in Des Moines, Iowa. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
