The Life of VIRGINIA MAY EMERY MEISTER
Virginia Emery Meister, 87, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Union Park Care Center in Des Moines.
She was born on August 25, 1922, to Zelpha and Alfred Allyn in Des Moines. Virginia enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. She loved spending time with her dogs and cats.
Virginia is survived by her son, Richard Emery; brother, Don Allyn; two grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
