The Life of GLADYS MAE LAKE DOLAND
Gladys Mae Doland, 101, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Gladys was born August 31, 1907 in Des Moines. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Gladys worked for Keo Cleaners for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gambling and spending time with her little dog Susie Q. Gladys is survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, parents and siblings.
