The Life of JOAN LAURA ETTA WALLACE
Joan L. Wallace, 76, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at Griffins Nursing Home in Knoxville.
She was born on November 16, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO to John and Loda Crawford.
Joan was a member of the Methodist Church, League of Women’s Voters, and PEN Women of St. Joseph. She attended Highland Park Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, Sara (Larry) Mick and Susan (Cary) Valentine; grandchildren, Shannon Wallace, Kelly Mick, Cara Valentine, Carli Valentine; and a great-grandchild on the way. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. Wallace, Sr.; sons, Edwin B. Wallace, Jr., William J. Wallace; sister, Janet Guilliams; brother, John William Crawford.
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Friends may visit with family from 11:00 am – 1:00 p.m. Friday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
