The Life of KATHERYN ELLEN CHAPMAN
Katheryn E. Chapman, 82, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Altoona Nursing Home. She was born July 9, 1928, in Des Moines to Charles and Jenny Riddle.
She had a special love for her family and enjoyed sewing and making crafts. Katheryn was a member of Eastwood Open Bible.
Katheryn is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Austin; daughters, Wanda (Jim) Lamb and Joy (Louie) Jordan; son, Raymond (Linda) Chapman; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters; and one brother. She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
