Larry Jensen, 64, died March 10, 2008.
Private family services were held at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines.
He was born in Boone and had lived in Polk City and for the last seven years in Knoxville. He had previously worked as a science teacher at Melcher-Dallas Community School System and at Boesen''s Greenhouse. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in Okinawa and a member of the Des Moines Coin Club. He like to plant and care for the flowers at the Knoxville VA and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.
He will be missed by his mother, Virginia of Polk City; sisters, Diane (Hank) Vander Heiden of Knoxville and Sally Gregory of Polk City. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Robert in 1995.
Memorial contributions may be made to Melcher-Dallas Community Schools.
