The Life of MERLE LYTELL TELLIS
Merle Tellis, 79, died September 16, 2008 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola. Merle was born on January 26, 1929 in Cincinatti, Ohio to Anthony and Evelyn Tellis. Merle was a member of many clubs and organizations that included, ZA-GA ZIG, VFW Post 9127, White Shrine, Eastern Star and Gnemeth Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Tellis; daughter, Merlene (Robert) Ackelson and three grandsons. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines; burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to ZA-GA ZIG Shrine in loving memory of Merle.>>
