The Life of WILLIAM EUGENE HARRINGTON

William “Bill” Harrington, 75, passed away at his home Friday, October 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Bill was born January 8, 1933 in Runnells, Iowa to Orval and Margaret Harrington. He was a barber for Shorty’s Barber Shop located on Des Moines’ east side, retiring after 50 years of service. Bill was a member of Grant Park Christian Church, East Gate Lodge and was a Shriner.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jeanine; daughters, Kathy (Dann) Flaherty, Patty (Mark) Miller and Jackie (Wes) White; and his grandchildren, Scott, Amy, Lacy, Shelby, Johnny, Amanda, Nick, Rachel, Megan and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents.
