The Life of DAVID A ERICKSON
David A. Erickson, 100, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Evangelical Covenant Church, 2625 Hubbell Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
David was born December 7, 1907 to Charles and Marie Erickson in Des Moines. He graduated from East High School in 1926 and North Park University in Chicago. David worked as a route salesman for Anderson-Erickson Dairy for 40 years.
David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Helen Erickson; children, Janet Johnson, Richard (Sharon) Erickson; and Timothy (Anne) Erickson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Larson; and sister-in-law, Viola Erickson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Edythe Erickson; one grandchild; four brothers; and one sister.
Memorial contributions may be given to Valley View Village or Evangelical Covenant Church.
