The Life of BETTY JEAN HOLSINGER BAKER
Betty J. Holsinger Baker, 84, passed away October 6, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Ankeny Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2009 at Ankeny Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
Betty was born April 30, 1925 to Alonzo and Eva Holsinger in Maxwell, Iowa. She married George E. Baker Jr. on June 22, 1952.
Survivors include, Children, Diana Woods, Carla Morris, Julie Johnson, Vickie Halkar, George Baker and Martin Baker; sisters, Delores Perry, Darlene Sutton, and Alice Mehren; 26 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George E. Baker Jr.; parents; daughter, Bonnie Maddex; sister, Juanita White; brother, Clarence "Bud" Holsinger and two grandsons.
