The Life of ROBERT M BREHENY
Robert M. Breheny, 72, died Thursday March 1, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday March 5, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Bob was born in Des Moines and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School. He was employed by Penn-Dixie Cement, Midwest Concrete Industries, Backman Sheet Metal before retiring from Principal Financial Group. He enjoyed photography, decorative painting, gardening, traveling, good food and wine and spending time with his family and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports. He was a member of Fairs and Squares Square Dance Club and Christ the King Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by his wife Norma of Des Moines; his sons, Jeffery (Shirley) Breheny of Livermore, CA, and Mark (Kathe) Breheny of Des Moines; his daughters, Deborah Coulter of Monroe, IA, and Jamie (James) Ellis, of Des Moines; his sister, Patricia Benedict of Santa Clarita, CA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law K.C. Coulter, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held Sunday March 4th from 2-5 P.M. with a 4:30 P.M. vigil and rosary service at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
