The Life of CECIL ELDON POLLEY
Cecil Eldon Polley, 94, died Monday, August 17, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center following a short illness. Cecil was born on September 29, 1914,in Malloy, IA, to William and Lizzie Polley.
Cecil enjoyed fishing, hunting and mostly his friends and family.
Cecil is survived by his son, James Polley; nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Bertha Ellis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Cline Polley; three brothers, Edwin, Martin and Orville (Pete) Polley; and his sister, Cleo Pritchard.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens 121 NW 60th Ave. Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
