The Life of DOROTHY LUCILLE PATRICK IBSON
Dorothy L. Patrick Ibson, 88, of Ankeny and Des Moines, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Dorothy was born in Wayland, Iowa on January 24, 1920 to Carl E. and Lucille D. Hensley. She retired in 1983 from the City of Des Moines where she was an accountant for 27 years. Dorothy was a member of Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Federation of Retired City Employees. She enjoyed stitching on plastic canvas, crossword puzzles and traveling with her friends and family. She most loved being involved with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jeri L. Patrick and Judy A. (Lamoine) Darr; two grandchildren, Scott Darr and Nancy (Rick) Kidder and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Curtis Darr and Breanna and Ashley Kidder. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a son, James M. Patrick.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
