The Life of MARY WATY YAGGY
Mary W. Yaggy, 96, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 at Scottish Rite Park. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Penthouse at Scottish Rite Park. Private burial will be held at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Monday evening at Iles Funeral Homes/ Westover Chapel.
Mary lived all of her life in Des Moines, and her memberships include the First United Methodist Church, where she was very active in all aspects of the church and in the Conference United Methodist Women. She was also member of Chapter GU in the P.E.O. Mary's lifelong enjoyment was music, teaching piano and organ lessons.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Lockwood of W. Des Moines and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to Scottish Rite Park - Good Brotherhood Fund.
Margaret would like to thank the nursing staff, aides and nurses at Scottish Rite Park, for the tender care given to Mary in her final days and a special thank you to Iowa Hospice for their support and care.
