The Life of DONALD M PETERSON
Donald Peterson, 75, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Private burial was held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Don grew up in Spencer, IA. He attended Iowa State University and played football. He was a casualty claims adjuster in Des Moines for 30 years and a former Polk County deputy sheriff and Little League coach.
Don is survived by his wife of 54 years Marilyn; a daughter Michelle (Ronald) Randazzo of Des Moines; two sons, Jeff (Janelle) Peterson of Mesa, AZ and Tom (Tomi) Peterson of Mechanicsburg, PA; two grandsons, Ryan Randazzo and Andrew Peterson; two step grandchildren, Raymond and Shailee Reed; two sisters, Virginia (Harvey) Lowry of Blaine, MN and Delores Juneau of Hackensack, MN as well as many nieces and nephews and all of those whose life he touched.
Don enjoyed spending winters in Apache Junction, AZ and visiting with his many friends, neighbors and also strangers.
He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all that know him.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Care Hospice.
