The Life of ROBERT A SWACKER JR

Robert A. Swacker, Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at his residence in Palmyara, Iowa.  

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2007 at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Homes, 121 NW 60th Ave.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Robert was born June 7, 1938 in Des Moines, IA  He married June Carr on October 4, 1957.  Robert was a member of Carpenter Local Union #106, and attended Middle River Friends Church.  Bob enjoyed listening to music by Johnny Cash.

He is survived by his wife, June of 49 years.  He has two sons, Robert (Jenny) Swacker III, Richard (Melissa) Swacker, daughter Kim Graham, 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Linda Kellis of Mystic, IA and Carole Spurling of Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Opal "Betty" Gott Swacker and Robert Swacker, Sr., and a brother, Howard Douglas Swacker.
