The Life of ARLENE DELORES SWARTZ
Arlene D. 'Pat' Swartz died peacefully at her daughter Beverly's home in Mankato, MN. on Thursday November 12, 2009 where she was in home care for several years. She was 89. She was born September 25, 1920 in Winnebago County but spent her adult life in Des Moines.
Pat was a member of Eppworth United Methodist Church and the Northside Senior Center.
Surviving are two daughters, Arlene Nyberg (Roger) of Urbandale and Beverly Stevens (Gordon) of Mankato, MN. an one son, John Swartz of Des Moines; three sisters, Virginia Hunter of Gowrie, IA., Carol Patterson of Arizona, and Rozella Youngquist of Illinois; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband John Swartz passed away in 1995.
Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Her family will be present to greet folks on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Highland Park Funeral Home 3500 6th Ave. Funeral Services are to be Monday November 16, 2009 at Eppworth United Methodist Church starting at 11 a.m. A second visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. She will always be loved and missed greatly.
