The Life of RONALD LEE MCCONNELL
Ronald Lee McConnell, 71, passed away at his home near Chariton on Saturday. Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens.
Ronald was born November 6, 1939, in Des Moines, to Donald and Gertrude McConnell. He retired from Townsend Engineering, where he worked in shipping and receiving. Ronald loved being with his kids and grandkids. His greatest hobby was working on old cars, and he was a member of a car club. Ronald also liked boating.
Ronald is survived by his wfe, Jody; his children, Leisa McConnell, Ronnie McConnell (Chris) and Sharrla McConnell; his step-daughter, Melissa Church; 16 grandchildren and two-great grandchildren; his brothers, Dave McConnell (Nancy), Kenneth McConnell (Betty); and his sister, Kathy Brown (John). Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and by his son; Walter (Chuck) McConnell.
Memorials may be made to Ronald’s family in his loving memory.
