The Life of DAVID ROBERT MARQUIS
David R. Marquis, 60, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 and was born August 22, 1950 to Roy and Mildred Marquis in Des Moines.
David was a member of IBEW Local 347 and past president of the MACBS (Bird Club). He loved his birds, listening to classic rock, aviation, and RC airplanes.
David is survived by his wife of 15 years, Carol Marquis; children, David (Yuko) Marquis, Katie (Wade) Soll, Andy Marquis, Christy (Adam) Ross; step-children, Gene (Debbie) McCain, Brian McCain, Robert (Pattie) McCain, Carol (Todd) Giblin; mother, Mildred Marquis; brother, Harry (Norene) Marquis; nephew, Bob Marquis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Marquis; brother, Roy P. Marquis.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 7 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
