The Life of JERRY LEE ADKINS
Jerry Adkins, 68, was born November 5, 1940 to Wilbur and Helen Adkins in Des Moines. He passed away Friday, March 12, 2009 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Jerry served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He was a member of the Polk City American Legion Post #232. He enjoyed living the “Western” life style, outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and his horses. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Wilma; his son, Earl and a sister, Mary Kloster. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bright Kavanagh House in loving memory of Jerry. >>
