The Life of MARLENE F SHORE

Marlene Shore, 70, died March 17, 2007 at her home.

She was born June 1, 1936 to Jack and Sylvia Trotter in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School, Class of 1954. Marlene was married to her husband Howard Shore for 50 years. She worked as a associate then later in the print shop for Saydel Schools; printing and graphic arts for the United Way of Central Iowa; and secretary as well as a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Marlene was a Hawkeye fan to the end, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Howard Shore, her children: Mark Shore of Des Moines, Rhonda (Steve) Fucaloro of Des Moines, Joe (Katie) Shore of Urbandale, Terri (Pete) Vitiritto of Des Moines, and Gregory (Ina) Shore of Johnston. Grandchildren: Jenny (Frank) Daczewitz of Texas; Chad Shore of California; Christina and Anthony Fucaloro; Joey, Jordan, Amanda and Madison Shore; Ashley, Leah, Nicolas and Sean Vitiritto; Alex and Jake Shore all of Des Moines; great granddaughter, Isabella. Her mother, Sylvia Trotter, her twin sister, Arlene (Dick) Badger of Missouri, brothers, Larry (Barb) Trotter and Jack (Kathy) Trotter all of Newton, along with many nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her father, Jack Trotter.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or to Mercy Hospice.
