The Life of RICHARD MAX TOWN
Richard M. Town, 64, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospice in Johnston on Saturday, April 9. 2011. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Johnston Evangelical Free Church, 9901 NW 62nd Avenue, Johnston, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines.
Rick was born June 21, 1946 to Olive and Max Town in Des Moines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work, and above all else, helping others. He was a wonderful husband, father, and granddad.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judy; his daughter Stacey (Kurt) Erickson; his sons: Brian (Sarah) and Brent (Chelsey) Town; his sister, Carla (Steve) Paugh; and his grandchildren: Wyatt, Whitney, Ellie, Max, Anna, and Hudsyn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association in loving memory of Rick.
