The Life of MURRIEL IOWA EDGETT
Murriel “Skeet” Edgett, 83, was born May 21, 1925 in Des Moines. She passed away January 28, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. She enjoyed bowling, flowers, gardening, fishing and crochetting. She also loved visiting with friends. Murriel was a member of the Easton Place United Methodist Church. Murriel is survived by her husband, Charles; her son, Richard (Susie) Lasher; daughter, Marylin (Michael) Neal; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her special friend, Susan K. Lasher; step-daughter, Sharon (Don) Hargrave; sister, Lorena Easter; sister-in-law, Karlene Newbrough. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th, Des Moines. Visitation will be 5-7p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in loving memory of Murriel.
