The Life of JANACE IRENE KASTER
Janace Kaster, 93, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Kavanagh House on 56th in Des Moines. She was born March 17, 1917, in Knoxville, Iowa to Clarence and Nettie (Long) Rowland.
Janace was very proud of the farm she and her husband owned and operated. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Janace enjoyed solving word search puzzles and spending time with her family.
Janace is survived by her children, Jeanettie (Ernie) Hill and LeRoy (Linda) Kaster; grandchildren, April (Steve) Brandt, Larry (Jeff Hayzlett) Hoch, Doug Kaster, Kim (Paul Knode) Kaster, and Anna Hill; as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kaster; parents; brother, Willis Rowland; and sister, Frankie Orr.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
