The Life of PAULETTE JOY ROTH FRANKLIN
Paulette Franklin, 62, died from ovarian cancer, Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines. She was born January 4, 1948, in Des Moines to Donald and Josephine Roth.
Paulette was very active in the Altoona community, serving as the Executive Director for the Altoona Chamber of Commerce, a member of the American Legion in Altoona, and Dollars for Scholars. Paulette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Paulette is survived by her children, Stacey Franklin-Pate (Jason Pate) and Jay (Jennifer) Franklin; grandchildren, Tasha and Trevor Heimbaugh; Sydney, Sierra Sienna, Jersey and Jace Franklin; Maddie and Josie Pate; sisters, Donna Jo Schott and Deb Roth; and her brother, Barry (Barb) Roth. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles E. Franklin, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
