The Life of RAYMOND DEANE WHEELER
Raymond Wheeler, 71, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was born December 1, 1939, in Madrid, Iowa to Herbert and Martha (Hounsom) Wheeler.
Ray was a member of the X-Ray Club (Ham Radio) and the NRA. He enjoyed raising hunting dogs, hunting, and fishing.
Ray is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Randal (Carolyn), Alan, and Vincent Wheeler; and his grandchildren, Paul and Samantha Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
