The Life of MARILYN JOYCE EITTREIM

Marilyn Eittreim, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Panora Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born February 17, 1932 to Paul & Mary (Brindle) Walter.

Survivors include her husband: Gene; sons: Greg Stover, Doug Stover, Paul (Deb) Stover, and daughter: JoEllen Arthur. Grandchildren: Holly (Tim) Stefl, James Arthur, Shannon Stover, Christine Stover. Step-sons: Greg (Lisa) Eittreim, Steve (Debbie) Eittreim; Step-daughter: Cathy Fosselman. Step-grandchildren: Shannon (Chris) Mart, Melissa (Rick) Krug, Renee (Dan) Welk, Kris (Marcin) Kalesinski, Michael Eittreim, and Eric Eittreim. Seven and a half great-grandchildren. Sister: Darlene (Dallas) Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; Paul & Mary Walter and her first husband Lyle Stover.

Marilyn was an energetic, creative and fun-loving woman who helped farm near Conrad, Iowa for many years where she kept a fabulous garden and prepared countless delicious meals. An avid collector, she opened Marilyn’s Gift Shoppe in Cedar Rapids in the late 1970''''s. Her natural artistic ability was enjoyed by many through her paintings and craft projects including “Herky” ornaments, and beautiful, cloth cards. In her later years, she enjoyed life at Lake Panorama with her husband Gene as well as their many travels.

Visitation: Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
Service: Memorial services will be held at 4PM at the funeral home
