The Life of RUTH CLARA ZAWISTOWSKI

Ruth Zawistowski, 84, entered eternal life on June 11, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Ruth was born on September 10, 1922, in Danbury, IA. Ruth was a country school teacher, a morse code operator during World War II, and a dedicated housewife. She is survived by her husband of 62 ½ years Michael, and seven children, Michaelene, Patricia, John, Joseph (Donna), Stanley (Vickie), Susan (Craig), and Richard (Carmen). Five grandchildren, Jody, Christopher, Andrew, Daniel and Richie, two great-grandchildren, Alex and Melanie. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2007 at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 N.E. 52nd Ave. in Des Moines. Burial will take place in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
