The Life of MICHAEL DAVID CARTER
Michael D. Carter passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008. Mike was born on October 31, 1964.
Mike lived all his life in Des Moines. He graduated from East High and earned his Law Degree at Drake University. Mike worked for the Carter Law Offices. Mike had a tremendous love for his family, especially his son, Cole, around whom his life revolved. In return, he was loved by his family, as well as his friends. Mike was an enthusiastic sports fan, particularly a Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeye football fan. Mike was very interested in history, current events and politics. He was also an animal lover. Most importantly, Mike was devoted to those around him helping people in need.
He is survived by his son, Cole Michael Carter; parents, Donald and Clkara Carter; brother Jeff and his wife Heather and nieces Zoe and Lexie Carter.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines; burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the funeral home.
