The Life of ANTHONY MICHAEL SCHNEIDER
Anthony “Tony” Schneider, 41, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on December 6, 2010, at Mary Greely Medical Center after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis with his parents by his side
Tony was born January 29, 1969, in Des Moines to Barbara and Michael Schneider. He graduated from Ankeny High School in 1987 and continued to get his cosmetologist license at Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines. He worked several years at A Kut Above in Ankeny.
He loved to ride his Harley and to drive his Cobra Mustang. He enjoyed playing X-Box live and listening to heavy metal music.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mary Greely Medical Center in Ames for the excellent care of Tony. A special thanks to Dr. Ed Nassif of McFarland Clinic for his dedication to Tony’s care throughout the years and keeping his promise that Tony would not suffer at the end.
Tony is survived by his parents, Barbara and Michael; and brother, Joe.
Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2010, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in loving memory of Tony.
