The Life of DANIEL JAMES KOEHLY
Daniel "DJ" Koehly, 30, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from complications of leukemia. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Park Chapel.
DJ attended East High and was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a veteran of Iraqi Freedom, serving twelve months escorting convoys throughout Iraq. After returning home he worked for RCC Western Wear. DJ was an avid bowler, loved watching NASCAR and spending time with his friends and family. Everybody was DJ's friend.
DJ is survived by his daughter, Portchia; parents, Dennis and Kathy Koehly; brothers, Kelly Parisho and Tracy Parisho; grandmother, Dorothy Koehly, grandfather, Joe Parisho and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 6, 2008, at Iles Funeral Homes- Grandview Park Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation.
