Chet R. Harvey, 56, Topeka, died Sunday, October 18, 1998, at a Topeka hospital. Cause of death was unavailable.
He was born October 5, 1942, in Des Moines Iowa, to Chester and Myrtle Love Harvey. He spent his early life in Des Moines where he attended Drake University. He lived in Topeka more than 25 years. He was employed as a computer analyst many years.
He had served in the Army.
Mr. Harvey was a member of Friends of the Topeka Zoo and was active in Republican Party affairs.
Survivors include sons, Gregory A. Harvey, Chapman, and Stephen R. Harvey, Topeka; daughters, Carole Anderson, Chicago, Dawn Lee, St. Louis, and Ronele Schuling, Des Moiens; his parents, Chester and Myrtle Harvey, Des Moines; brothers, Tom Harvey, Des Moines and LeRoy Harvey, Phoenix; sisters, Judy Somers and Nancy Bonanno, both in Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Harvey was cremated. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Reinisch Rose Garden at Gage Park.
