The Life of CHRISTINE INITA KOSOBUCKI
Christine Kosobucki, 55, died September 25, 2009 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at St. Augustin Church, 545 42nd St. in Des Moines, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Christine was born April 18, 1954 to Virginia and Howard Clement in Des Moines. She was married to John Kosobucki February 14, 1993. To this union, a son John F. "J.J." was born. She loved to craft, and was a wonderful cook; her chocolate chip cookies and deviled eggs will especially be missed. She loved going to the governor's mansion around Christmastime, doing genealogy, and was a big proponent for education. Christine is survived by her loving husband, John; her son J.J.; her parents Virginia and Howard; her sisters: Brenda Garrett and Karen Burkland; her brothers: Barry and Kevin Clement; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle Emery Burchette. Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America.
