The Life of MARIJO ANGELA RAMOS
Marijo “Jodi” A. Ramos, 36, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at her home in Des Moines. She was born March 6, 1975, in Des Moines to Leo and Beverly Barry.
Jodi was the former Director of Hispanic Education Resources. She enjoyed baseball, working with the Hispanic community, and especially spending time with her husband and children.
Jodi is survived by her husband, Elias Ramos; children, Cristian and Xavier Ramos; parents, Leo and Beverly Barry; brother, Matt (Heather) Barry; sister, Michele (Bill) Gates; nieces, Mackenzie, Madigan, Jaycie, Bella, and Julie; nephew, Jacob; mother-in-law, Catalina Ramirez; a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Lucille Barry; maternal grandparents, Ward and Helen Bennett.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April, 16, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
